You have all definitely seen this precious little Angel around here before! This is baby Jasmine and I couldn't resist doing another photo shoot of her! Jasmine is only 7 weeks old and this is her 2nd time in Auntie's studio! :) And 3rd time being photographed by me. (can't forget the hospital, only hours after birth, and if you really want to count, mama's maternity pics too)

What can I say. This little girl is gonna be a PRO in front of the camera! Hmmm, I guess I should get to be her manager when she makes the big time! Right Kira! :)

Again, a few weeks ago (I AM SO BEHIND IN BLOG POSTS)

I met up with my cousin Tara and her boyfriend Glen.

Tara asked me a few months ago if I could do a shoot of the two of them and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse! A WEEKEND OF CHILDCARE! Omg, me and my hubby can go away for 2 nights, worry free! I couldn't resist! When we shooting, I responded! :) Myself and Tara have quite busy schedules, but we managed to meet up and get some great shots! The rain came and ruined our fun, but regardless, we got some great stuff! :)

You have all probably seen these two before! They both did BRAVE THE SHAVE and I photographed the Event! GREAT PEOPLE, THESE TWO!

From Birds Hill's TRASH THE DRESS session, I headed back into Winnipeg, into the heart of the city! Winnipeg's Exchange District to meet up with this awesome family! We couldn't hide from the wind here either, but we didn't let that get us down! We got some great shots, and how couldn't we, do you see this adorable little one! I am so happy to have photographed this family again, and look forward to many more years! I love to see little ones grow up! :)

Many weeks ago I met up with Shannon and Kyle. You have seen these two many times before, and I must admit I love working with each of them! Shannon and Kyle were married in Las Vegas, and couldn't wait to trash the dress! :) It turned out to be the most windy day that ever hit us in 2011. But Shannon didn't let that stop her! Last Weekend I also met up with Matt, Kellie, Madison & Lauren. You have all seen this family on my blog, website, and facebook many times! Last Tuesday I met up with an old friend from Elementary school (Kindergarden through Grade 11 to be exact) Other than a quick hello @ a local shopping store, I have not seen Carol in many years! Last week I got to meet her children, and husband! What a lovely family she has! SO glad to see an old friend with such a wonderful life! Sunday morning I headed across the city (and I mean right across the city) to Sunny St.James. I met a fantastic group of people! I was asked by Winnipeg's St.Amant Center to photograph this family for them. I sure learned quickly why! They are amazing people. I saw "LOVE" in a family like never before! Saturday Janina & Eric said "I do"

I remember when I first met with this couple. I was so excited to shoot their big day. Such a sweet pair. I was overjoyed meeting their wonderful families! So kind and incredible. I felt as though I knew them all forever!

Janina and Eric were married in the back yard of Eric's family home, on the riverbank across from the Assiniboine Park Zoo. I was told at times you can hear the tigers, and the family all hoped for quiet zoo animals. And that they were. No roars, or animals to be heard!

Last Saturday I photographed Tyler and Jenilee's wedding day. It was a beautiful day. Who knew that September 10th was going to be in the 30 degree temperatures here in Winnipeg. It was a hot one. Despite the heat. Jenilee & Tyler's wedding day was a gorgeous one. The ceremony was outside @ Transcona Country Club, followed by the reception in the Manitoba Room, also @ Transcona Country Club. We did hit the exchange district for photos, and got some great shots.

I met this couple a few years ago where I met Jenilee at a past Bride and Groom's wedding. And then yet another wedding a year later. I was honored and excited when this couple asked me to photograph their special day. Such a great couple!

Baby B is here

Last week I made 2 posts of my good friend Kira, and her adorable baby belly. Well.... No more belly shots. Baby has arrived. ITS A GIRL. Weighing in @ 6lbs 10oz, born @ 1138am and 19 inches long! Name yet to be decided.

I raced to the hospital to see this little bundle of joy this evening, bringing some adorable baby outfits, mittens and blankets (I started crocheting blankets last winter when Kira told me the good news) I couldn't resist bringing my camera and capturing some baby moments, only 6 hours after birth! :)

Last night I met up with this wonderful couple. Referred to me by one of next years brides (thanks Kim) We walked through Assiniboine Park English Gardens, beginning @ 7pm. OMG, not my fave place @ that time. Ask this wonderful couple. I seen critters! By that I mean, squirrels, and mice running, and OK I SCREAMED LIKE A BABY. Thanks guys for putting up with me and my insane fear of nature! LOL

Last weekend I photographed my fantastic friend Kira and her boyfriend Keith. Keith and Kira are expecting their first born. A beautiful baby girl. Both Kira and Keith weren't to thrilled with the idea of Maternity photos but....... when your long time friend is a photographer who LOVES baby bellies. You don't have to much choice. Last night I met up with this family. A group that was beyond amazing to work with. Any idea I had, was taken without hesitation. They laughed, they jumped, they walked through flowers, and twigs, made a pyramid, hugged each other, made awesome silly faces. :) We got some amazing family images, and I must say some of my favorites since I started this profession in 2005.

Last weekend I photographed Simon & Jen's beautiful Travel themed wedding. It was a gorgeous day, with so much love and happiness in the air. For Formals we headed to "The Exchange District" then over to Assiniboine Park Conservatory, where the reception was being held. This Venue looked amazing. Jen and Simon didn't miss a detail. From their mini luggage favors filled with jelly beans, there travel photo postcards, to make up their guest book, a tiki bar with steel drummers beside in the tropical area, a popcorn buffet, and lounge area set up, and of course the dinner area. IT WAS AMAZING.. Honestly, photos would not do it justice... It was more than words can say. Simon shared with me how much time, sweat and hard work Jen put into making all the details a reality, he was so proud of what she had done! Thank you Jen and Simon for having me capture your precious memories. You were both fantastic to work with. Wish you many years of health, and happiness! :) Keep Travelling guys! :)

MY GOOD FRIENDS WEDDING

Just over 2 weeks ago (I am a little behind in my blogging) my friend of many many years (since grade 1) got married. I was soooooo honored to be apart of their special day. In more ways than one. I took on 2 rolls. Photographer AND Bridesmaid. Ok, how do you do this, you ask? Well. I walked down the aisle as my little helper (my 12 year old daughter) took the photos of the entrance, once I got to front, I grabbed a camera and started shooting. When the ceremony, a beautiful beach front one @ that, was finished, I passed the camera back to my daughter and walked back down the aisle. See, easy peezy! Ok, no. Not so easy peezy. However, for a great friend, I had no problem, running in every direction. I was amazed @ dinner that the day was done, and honestly, ran right out of energy! Congrats Colleen, Doss, Taylor, and Thea, we wish you many years of health, love, and happiness! Can't wait to see what the future holds for your family! Maybe another addition ;)

Yesterday I met up with "W, E & little C" at Kings Park. Little C is a cutie patootie with his own idea of his destination. LOL. If we went to the rocks, he went to the bench. Last weekend I met up with Ashley, Carter and little baby A. I have photographed this family before, yes. A family Wedding, and my daughter goes to school with Ashley's sister. So, I have known this group for a while. Even Carter used to be my camera go to guy @ a local electronics store in winnipeg!

A has grown so much since I last seen her, and as I told her mom and dad. She is the most serious little girl I have ever seen! Bright and Early the day after Nancy and Brian said I do, we met up and headed out to TRASH HER DRESS. As her wonderful husband said " I love the Sh!T outta you" to his wife @ their reception. I told them "Lets Trash the Sh!T outta this dress"

Nancy and Brian were great sports. Anything I suggested, they were willing. The water was freezing, and you wouldn't know it from the photos. I was there. THEY WERE FROZEN. They jumped into Lake Superior without even a question of it!

I have to say, that I am one of the luckiest people in the world. Not only do I love love love my job. I also get to capture special moments and memories, for people who are very dear to me.

Nancy has been apart of my family for many years now, and I was so honored to capture this special day for her and her husband Brian. Who I have to say, is an absolutely amazing man. I am so happy to welcome him to my extended family too! I wish you both all the happiness in the world.

Nancy, and Brian, I can not express how honored I was that you chose me to capture this day for you guys!

This wedding was beautiful. An outdoor ceremony, a beautiful Ontario park location, a beyond yummy dinner @ Thunderbay's Slovak Legion, and a party that I will never forget. This group LOVED photobooth, and I am proud to say I seem to have introduced this trend to this city!

Where have the years gone?

Do you ever think, Where have the years gone! Well right now as I am making this blog post, that is the first thing that pops into my head.

Colleen (the bride) and I have been friends since grade 2. Ok, we didn't get along all that well in grade 2, but by grade 3 we were good to go!

The two of us experienced so much together. Being my one and only LONG TIME FRIEND that I have stayed very close to since Elementary School, who stood with me on my wedding day, is the Godmother to my daughter, and so many ups and downs in life. I am beyond honored and excited to be photographing her Wedding Day, and not only that. I am also a Bridesmaid. How will I do this you ask? I HAVE NO IDEA! I have 1 week from tomorrow till the big day, so I will figure it out real fast, and next weekends blog post, will show how I worked it all out!

However, first comes first. A few weeks ago, the bridal party held a Bridal Shower @ Steve's Bistro on Portage Ave. Ok, WOW. If you have never been to this place for a bite to eat. GO NOW. The food was amazing, the staff was fantastic. Colleen is an interior designer (ok, I know this isn't her correct term, but I can't remember it @ the moment, sorry Colleen) and designed this Bistro, so her MOH, her sister Andrea knew this would be the perfect place. Also I have to mention, Andrea planned the entire shower... The rest of us showed up! WAY TO GO ANDREA, you did a great job!

Few more days Colleen, and you will be a Mrs. too!

Oak Point Manitoba "Tracey & Ricky say I do"

Yesterday I headed out to Oak Point Manitoba to photograph Tracey & Ricky's gorgeous outdoor wedding. Mother Nature sure gave them sunshine and heat. 32 degree with a humidity that felt like +44. IT WAS HOT! Tracey and Ricky didn't let that get to them. With layers of clothing on, they battled the weather, the sweat and the sunshine. We hit some country scenic areas, and they even said I do outside. Way to hold up guys. Hope your wedding was everything you both dreamed of.

This morning I met up with Shannon & Kyle. I have worked with Shannon & Kyle a few times before. Yesterday afternoon, my family and I headed out to Niverville Manitoba for a family friends 60th Bday Party. I took my friends son and his girlfriend to a few spots around town, and captured some images of them. Young love is a beautiful thing!

Whiteshell Wedding

Last weekend I headed out to the Whiteshell to Photograph Carla & Ryan's gorgeous wedding. As I left Winnipeg, I saw the blue skies to my right, and when I looked to the left things weren't so blue. I drove east, into the cloudy skies, and as I arrived in Anola, the rain started to pour. By the time I made it to Nutimik, I seen it had been raining probably all night and morning. 1230pm Carla and Ryan had to make the decision to keep the ceremony on the beach, or have it in the Resort. But you know, they decided to stick with their original plan and get married on the beach. Someone was watching over them, cause 5 minutes before the ceremony the rain stopped, and ceremony was exactly where they wanted it to be, and all the photos were taken outside! It was a gorgeous wedding, a wonderful group to work with, and a perfect day for these 2 love birds.

Earlier this week I met up with Tracey & Ricky for their engagement session. The wedding is only days away (well ok a few weeks, but under 30 days) We started @ Winnipeg's Graffiti Gallery, then headed to The Exchange District. My Fur Babies

Hey Everyone, I thought I would make a personal post, which I don't do all that often! However, if you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that I am a DOG LOVER and have 3 fur babies of my own! If you have dogs you know that not only are they cute and cuddly. They are ALOT of work. I have had my 3 puppies now for almost 2 years. Dexter, broke my finger, Marley ate our drywall and Bailey is the king of accidents. With that being said, I would not trade any of them for anything! My finger healed, Our drywall is fixed and Bailey, well. Accidents happen.

I have to admit that I was a very spoiled dog owner. Our neighbour used to walk my babies 2-3 times a day for us... Being so busy with kids, photos, and normal household duties, I just couldn't find the time. However, that time has come to an end. Our dog walking neighbour has moved away, and now I have to take care of my puppies on my own... But I am loving it. Who can't take an hour out of the day to get some exercise!

With the weather forecast for Saturday I was sooo thankful that Heidi & Dave informed me they booked Winnipeg's New Downtown Hydro Building as a back up. However, the sky was in their favor, and mother nature must be a friend of theirs. This wonderful couple, had a beautiful day. All photos were outside, and no indoor location was needed. We started photos @ the Forks, at the Candy Train, adding some color to the image with the handmade, Jones Soda bottles that contained personalized labels of their engagement photos. Then we headed to the Nutty club building, for some colorful sucker shots! Then we hit the exchange district. This bride and groom new what spots and locations they wanted. We did miss out on The Graffiti Gallery, and the Skate Park @ the forks, but we still got some great images. There 4pm ceremony was gorgeous, then we headed out to Bel Acres. For those of you who don't know, Bel Acres Golf and Country club is located on Sturgeon Road about 5 minutes North of the Perimeter Highway. I have to say, Mother Nature did all she could with the weather, cause the drive out of town was a fierce looking one. The skies were angry. Later that night, I was informed a Tornado had touched down South of the City, in the exact opposite direction of our location. No damage, THANK GOODNESS, and happy we were able to still finish up our photos, in the rain! Here is some shots from their gorgeous wedding day, with their SUPERSTAR Bridal Party, I think they referred to it as! Enjoy!

Last night I photographed Shannon & Kyle's Vegas Themed Wedding Social. I met this fantastic couple when I met up with them @ St.Vital Park last year and shot some great engagement photos. This couple is getting married this September in VEGAS, so they thought having some candid photos of their guests @ their social would be a great way to get some photos of family in their album since not everyone can attend the Vegas Wedding. There was evening a GUEST APPEARANCE, Elvis was in the building! You can't have a Vegas theme anything without a little bit of hunka hunka burning love! Saturday following my fabulous Maternity Couple, I met baby "B" I must again thank this little ones mommy, & auntie for putting up with me, after my technical glitch during the shoot before them. Once they arrived, I literally had just hooked up the wireless equipment and fired 1 test shot to make sure it was all working. Talk about timing! This little guy is what some of us photographers refer to as OLDBORN. Not under the 2 week age for the poses that make them look like spaghetti, or putty in our hands, yet not old enough to sit, stand, or help us much in certain positions. Baby B did a great job. He started off the shoot like a weee little newborn, and then after to much moving around, he awoke, and decided, I am staying awake for this, what are you people doing to me! LOL. Baby B is definately a cutie, have a peak @ just some of the images we took!

Saturday morning, I met this wonderful couple who are expecting their first born! I was honored to capture some tummy pics for this fabulous couple, and I thank them for their patience with my technical difficulty. What a time for my lighting sync cord to blow. However, thankfully the cord held up and let me finish up my shoot, and then my hubby rescued me by running to the wonderful DON'S PHOTO to get me some wireless transmitter & receivers, which I must say I don't know how I never owned. Last Thursday I attended a FANTASTIC seminar hosted by Nghia Tran & Ian McCausland (As well as their assistant Trish Palud) These boys and girl sure know there stuff, and were more than willing to share their secrets with so many of us that were interested in learning. They didn't only explain things to us, they gave us hands on experience, using pocket wizards, studio lighting, & even supplied us with FANTASTIC models. The "C" Family Returns

I am sure I have said this before, but I must say it again. I LOVE MY JOB. Not only do I get to photograph special moments in peoples lives, but I also get to see a family, grow larger, grow older, and grow into people I become to know better and better. I have been photographing this family for a few years now, and I am so happy they have chosen me to be the one to capture all their milestones. I met little Madison @ the age of 2, I photographed Mom's tummy, as Lauren was soon to be a part of the family, and then of course once Lauren arrived. Last weekend I got together again with Matt, Kellie and the kids and we captured Lauren's 6 month images, and Madison's 4 year photos! So much fun. Little Lauren didn't wanna crack a smile, but when you are that cute, I don't need a smile to get some great shots! Here is a sneak peek of what we captured of the kiddies! Last Saturday (a little behind in my blogging) I photographed Jeff & Joanne's Winter Wedding.

A fabulous couple, a gorgeous day, and a Rockin Photobooth!

Jeff & Joanne, had this wedding planned to perfection. I met up with Joanne a few days before the wedding, and she even gave me a print out of the entire venue, so I knew where things would be happening! I had a huge space to set up photobooth, and I have to say, it was perfect. Joanne, I learned quickly is a planner, and Jeff makes it happen for her. A couple, so in love, that works so WELL. Why do I call Joanne a planner. Well for their engagement photos last fall, she had a vision of throwing leaves, but not just any leaves. Certain, color, size and shapes of leaves. So Jeff, who makes it happen, did just that. He headed out and hand picked the leaves Joanne envisioned. This couple is like a sundae with a cherry on top, great apart, but PERFECT together!

At the age of 12, having a photoshoot is sooooo cool. So again last night, my daughter was the subject. We shot for about 20 minutes, and came out with some AMAZING shots. Honestly, even though I may be a little biased, but my little Ally, works great with the camera. As I continue to look through this photos, choosing my favorites or post, I keep asking myself. Where did the years go. Not only is she 12 years old, looking @ these photos, I think she looks even older than that! Hmmmm, can't we pause or slow down life, just a little.

Yesterday I photographed a wonderful couple! Just before starting the shoot, they expressed to me that they had never ever before been photographed professionally, and really didn't know what to do. I explained it wasn't a problem, and I would help them along. However in no time @ all, they were working the camera. A very small amount of direction for each pose, but the look of love in there eyes, couldn't have been directed by me. Way to go guys! It was fantastic working with you both. About a week ago, I got onto this HUGE project idea. And if anyone knows me personally, I ain't a fan of building, I have a vision, then like to see the vision come to life. This is where my handy hubby comes into play! So, after I explained the idea to him of what I wanted, we headed to his FAVORITE store. The Home Depot. We loaded up the cart with Foam Boards, Wallpaper, Paint Brushes, Paint, and a whole lot of PL300 (I think that one, its the foam board approved one) and some laminate Flooring. Then construction began! I helped for about 30 minutes, till I got frustrated and left for an afternoon visit with a friend. So, I can't take any credit for the creation of these new backdrops, and floor props! Thanks Scottie for all your hardwork, and putting up with my crazy ideas, that I always promise won't be to difficult! hehehehe. Here is some photos of our son and daughter using the NEWLY built backdrops and floor! :)

Long Time Friends

Yesterday I photographed my long time friend, her fiance (I can say that now, cause they got engaged this Christmas) and their adorable little girl. If you have been to my blog time and time again, I am sure you have seen this little angel many times before. From in the womb, to the celebration of her 1st birthday, a 1 year glance @ all the shoots throughout the first year etc. Well now marks her turning 18 months. So we headed to the Assiniboine Park Conservatory to capture some images of this little girl, who just ain't so little any more! Also a few Engagement Photos for Mom and Dad! Mason turns 1

I met Tara & Shawn a few seasons ago when I photographed there wedding. In the fall I met up with them again for a out of town family photoshoot, and yesterday was all about Mason. He turns 1 today. Mason did a fantastic job. He was suffering with the joyous pain of teething, so we took these images in between cries of pain, tiredness and what saved us, the 52" tv that hangs on my wall behind where I shoot. Yesterday I hit the highway with my husband. He came along with me for the ride. Which I must admit ended up not taking as long as I thought. I met up with a fantastic group. A few weeks ago I wrote about how the wedding season had ended, and how it was fall family photo time. Now which seems like no time @ all. I am writing about Christmas and the end of yet another year! Where does the time go?

As fast as things are gone this year, I do have to take a moment and say

Thank you to everyone I met along the way. I have some fantastic clients in my line of work, and I can't wait to see each of you again. So many Beautiful Brides, Handsome Grooms, Glowing Soon to be mom's, squishy adorable babies, terrific toddlers, and so much more. And one thing about my job that is so great. There are so many more moments to capture. I photograph a wedding, its the step into a family, I photograph a pregnant woman, its a step to a precious baby. This line of work, keeps me in touch with so many wonderful people. I thank you all for putting your trust into me to capture these moments for you.

A Daycare Family

Last Sunday I met up with fantastic group. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have photographed this family, and I couldn't be more honored. Our children go to Daycare together, and its such a treat spending some time with the kiddies I hear my son talk about so frequently. To be honest, its my 4 year old making the business deals @ daycare. He tells his friend Cooper, its time for pictures again, and then Cooper tells him mom when my Cohen said, and kablamo, another session. LOL. Well ok, if your a parent you know it don't quite work out that way, but we do have to laugh when the boys start their photo planning days! :) Here is a few sneak peeks!

This morning I met up with Jenilee & Tyler. I met Jenilee a few times over the last year. Once @ Chelsea & Dave's Wedding, and again @ Adam & Amanda's in Clearlake, Manitoba. Jenilee is a Justice of the Peace and has been busy performing the marriage ceremonies of her closest friends. Today, while in Winnipeg marrying a couple, she and Tyler decided to meet up with me for some engagement photos. I am so glad they did. The snow was falling softly, the weather very cooperative (although I was dressed double layers of everything) Tyler & Jenilee are a wonderful couple, and I am sooooo excited to be shooting there Wedding next year! The "F" Family

Yesterday I met up with this family. Relations of a family I met up with a few weeks ago. I love referrals, and I love meeting past customers family and friends. We met up @ the Forks in the Johnston Terminal, and headed throughout the forks area. At the very end of the session, we did a few quick shots outside. With no jackets, Winter Weather, this didn't last to long. We also were loosing daylight as it was after 430pm. If Winnipeg wasn't cold and snowy enough, we have to suffer through the early light loss too. Grrr. Anyways, here is a few shots from the session. Last weekend I met up with this adorable little guy. I have photographed him once before, as well as his cousin Sienna. These 2 are precious. I have to say again, I am honored to photograph them each year. Antonio, sat well, and posed all on his own. Lucky for me! The shoot was a breeze, and being this cute, how hard can it be! Fire in Transcona

This afternoon as I sat quietly editing a boudoir shoot @ my computer, I heard the normal sound of sirens. I didn't think anything of it, till from the glare of my window behind my computer I saw a fire truck pass by, and the sirens were now very loud. I went to our front window, to see everyone's WORST nightmare. Smoke billowing out from a house 2 doors down and across the street. Maybe its my country upbringing, but I threw on my jacket and went outside to see if there was anything I could do. Obviously I am not a firefighter, paramedic or anyone who could help with the situation, till I saw a tiny little girl in just a jacket, and boots shivering and so very affraid. I found the home owners, who were ofcourse experiencing the worst thing you could, as I introduced myself, to this family I have never met offering to take their little daughter into my home to let her be warm. In the world we live in, these young parents were shocked, and you could tell very affraid. So mom and daughter came in. After a few minutes, mom felt safe to leave to go deal with everything, and here I sit with this little girl, who is just a barrel of laughs. Oh to be a child. No care in the world, just a need for apple juice and dora! :) So happy I could help somehow! :)

Yesterday (Saturday) I photographed an old friend. I hadn't seen Ricky in what we figured to be 12 years. It was so great seeing him after so much time, and meeting his wife, and children. These 2 littles ones started out like modelling pros. After about 10 minutes, in studio, I went to take a shot and was told "NO Thankyou" hahahah. It was the sweetest thing ever. The kids were ready to get outside and play, and what isn't better than capturing children in motion. We headed to Harbourview Golf Course to let the kids be kids. What great images we captured! Last Sunday I met up with Raquel, Nelson & Sienna @ Winnipeg's Conservatory @ Assiniboine Park Zoo. Pit stop to India

Last Saturday I photographed Angad and Sandy. These two are heading to India this weekend for their big day. Their wedding day. Over the few hours I spent with this couple I found out that an Indian wedding, lasts 5 days, many ceremony's take part in that time frame, and so much work goes into the planning. I would like to thank you both for having me capture these COLD winnipeg images for you and I hope you enjoy each of them for your wedding slideshow. Isla

This past Saturday I photographed little baby Isla. 10 months old, and what a darling. She started off loving the camera, then after a little topple off a riser, not so much love of the camera. Glad we got some great shots, prior to the tumble. Thanks guys for having me capture this milestone for you. I hope you enjoy the images for years to come.
