Studio Shots

Hey Everyone.

Well ok. I have conquered my fear. I have always been more into the location photography, with a small interest in doing some studio shots. So over the last year I have been buying things here and there, the latest being my studio light equipments, with umbrellas, stands, etc. I have had it for over a week, and even after a great lesson from the wonderful manager Andrea at Don's photo, I was still not to eager to take it out of the bag, or the box for that matter. Tonight, I decided was the night to give it a try. I thought whats the worst that can happen, I will have to keep practing till I get a good shot. Ahh, I can do it. So my daughter and a good friend Colleen, who is my daughters god mother were doing there High School Musical movie night sleepover, so I figured what a great idea to get some portraits of them. Which we have never done, and would be a great keepsake. Well it didn't go to bad. Had to move things, turn down things and finally I got it. I am now loading my fave shots. 1st Wedding of 08

Today started off my 2008 season.
Phaedra, and Joey were a great couple to work with, the day ended up perfect, for what it started out as. Cold and freezing rain, never a good start to a winter wedding, but it ended up the temperature was nice and tolerable, great compared to what we have been facing, and the rain stopped. We even got outside with the guys and the bride and groom for a few shots.
For the first time I shot at U of M in the administration building, and have discovered, its not somewhere ideal. Very dark, and unflattering. But guess we don't know forsure till the photos are uploaded and edited. Wish me luck!

Well I guess this blog stuff isn't as hard as I thought it would be this afternoon, when I started it.
I have uploaded photos, made a slideshow, even added music. I am doing alright. Now its up to all you to look at the photos, and me to keep taking them and uploading them. Hope you enjoy!

The Start of Something New! A Blog!

Well a new year has begun. And I can't wait to let it begin. This Saturday starts off my new season. A bit of time off since the last 2 December weddings, allowed me to relax, and enjoy some quiet time, now I am ready to begin this year with a bang.
