Photo Shoot with a friend

Today after a long week of Illness! I am finally alive and feeling better! I honestly don't know what I had, other that the diagnosed "Bronchitis" but I must say WOW it was something else.

The big H1N1 scare has everyone on their last nerve, afraid of leaving the house, touching a stranger, or even being in a store. I strongly believe I had a touch of it, and if that wasn't it. Then wow, I don't want it! I have never spent soooo much time sleeping! Maybe just end of the season tiredness that caught up with me, who knows. But the best part is " I am feeling great again" Today, I went out and took some shots of a close friend.. She hasn't updated her personal photos in well, FOREVER, so we thought why not! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to post some of her shots, however, due to her request I am unable to do so! But I just wanted to talk about.. Tell you how much fun we really had! "S" was so relaxed in front of the camera, and for being the "I hate pictures" type, I can honestly say I was surprised. She had told me that this photo shoot was "Anything Goes" and man she wasn't kidding. I was honestly afraid to suggest anything to Risque for her, but she went ahead and did what she was comfortable with. Way to go "S" When we ended the photo shoot, we immediately came back to my place to proof on the computer, and when I heard her say "OMG, YOU ARE GOOD" I think I had a smile from ear to ear.. I love that reaction...

Beautiful November Day

Today I honestly COULD NOT BELIEVE it was november. WOW. 12 degrees out, and bright and sunny. It more like a early spring day, before the leaves fill with the green beauty, and the flowers bloom full of life and color. Today's couple, is getting married next September, and let me tell ya, when we spoke @ our consult, this bride new exactly the plan. Without a hesitation, she said, Can we do ephotos on November 8th, I was like ummm, ya Ok! LOL... I do need to check my schedule, LOL, however it was open and we were able to capture some amazing images of these two. I must admit this couple is a very fun outgoing pair. They believe in love and definately LAUGHTER! Congrats to your both, and looking forward to the big day! Hope you like your sneak peek!

Halloween Wedding

What a cold day! Todays bride and groom were great about it though. After many attempts to book an indoor facility and no calls or emails back from the location, this couple was without an indoor photo spot, so we made the best of it and did what we could. We spent 40 minutes outside, and got some great images. The bride looked amazing, and the groom cleaned up pretty good too.. LOL. Here is a sneak peek of their day! Wedding was @ the Ukranian Orthodox Church on Main Street & Selkirk AVE, performed by a Bishop from Toronto (this couple must have connections, lol) Formals were taken in Winnipegs Exchange District and the Reception was held @ Garden City Canad Inns!

Beautiful Fall Weekend

What a nice day for family photos. The air was a little crisp, however what else can you expect for fall. Had some great families to work with, and got some great shots. Here are some samples. I even took a few minutes to take my kiddies out to St.Vital Park before a shoot and capture a few images of them. Our daughter took hold of the camera and got a shot of my hubby, son & I. Way to go Ally, Photographer in Training!

Family Photo Sunday

What a gorgeous day today in the big city of Winnipeg. The weather we have been having is just WEIRD. 2 weeks ago, we were experiencing a crazy snow storm, and today I was out shooting family photos in fall jackets, cute little boots, and jeans. What is with our climate around here. Anyways, I won't complain, as today was awesome. Here is some samples from 3 great shoots with 3 great groups.

YAAAA for No Snow

Well Saturdays couple had a dream. A dream of a fall wedding. They choose October 17th not for Snow, but for the beautiful fall leaves, and gorgeous colors that come with it. Well what do ya know. They got their wish. I must admit I was very concerned that they wouldn't get their wish, as the last few weekends included COLD winds, and yes the Winterpeg Norm, SNOW. However, GUESS WHAT! No snow and a great wedding day. The wind was a little chilly @ times, but this couple didn't that get them down. They were able to spend the photo time in beautiful Scenery @ St.Vital Park, and a quick stop @ the BDI (only for photos, a little to cold for Ice Cream) Here's a sneak peek!

Thanksgiving Wedding Weekend

This Weekend was a cold busy weekend! Not sure what is going on with Mother Nature so early this October! Crazy cold temperatures and SNOW... Friday evening was a WHOLE lot of it. Saturday the ground was covered in the white stuff that Winterpeg definately see way to much of over the Winter season, maybe it won't stay as long this year, since it came soooo quick. Anyways, with the snow and cold this weekends wonderful wedding couples didn't let it get to them. Saturday's couple was tough and willing to be outside in Winnipeg's Exchange District for some great pics. Thanks guys for being so willing, we got some great images, and it was definately worth the cold! Sunday's Couple was just as great. This soon to be Mom of 2 (yes baby number two is in the oven) was MORE than willing to take every suggestion I had. Even during a light snowfall we stayed outside. The Legislature was booked as a Warm backup in case of bad weather, and even with the cold weather, the flakes of snow, she was willing to stay OUTSIDE and capture images in the best lighting we could have asked for. Thanks to you guys as well. I can't wait for all of you to see your photos! How better could the Thanksgiving Weekend have been to have shared it with such great couples. Not only did I get to work with these wonderful people but I got to see some past brides and grooms. Saturdays wedding, had my previous groom from May as the Best Man, and his wonderful Wife @ the signing table. Sundays Wedding had the wonderful, fun, OUTGOING Shayna as Bridesmaid, and of course a nice chat with Paul was a treat. It was nice seeing you all again, and I would like to say THANK YOU for the wonderful Reccomendations you gave to your friends and family to have me capture their special days AS WELL!....
