E-Photos with Tara & Mike

Today was a beautiful day. I met with Tara & Mike whose wedding is coming up in August to get some engagement shots done. We started @ St.Vital Park and continued on to outside the Legislature. We had alot of fun and laughs, and they were such a pleasure to work with. We even saw a FROG and they got to see my true fear of pretty much anything that lives outdoors.

LOL.... Here are a few shots from today.

Beausejour, Manitoba

Today was the start of a not so beautiful day. I awoke to the darkest of clouds, and hard rain falling, hitting my bedroom window. Even before stepping out of bed, I decided I didn't want to look out the window at what was ahead for Larissa & Matthew's Wedding Day. I knew I had to get up, and get moving, so I did. I arrived @ Dynasty Hair in Beausejour, Manitoba to find Larissa, her mom and sister (maid of honor) anxiously preparing for the day. They weren't going to let any rain let them down. And no longer than 3o minutes after I arrived there, the sun started to shine through the clouds, and the rain stopped. It was terrific. By the time we arrived at the photo location, the sun was out and it was absolutely gorgeous out. THANK GOD for that one. Even the grass was dry enough that Larissa was able to lay down without ruining her beautiful dress. See sometimes miracles do happen! Here is a few shots from the day.

UH OH

Well this wedding season, I promised myself I was going to keep up on editing, and get things out in a very timely fashion, not allowing myself to use the amount of time that I tell customers that I may need. Well its only June and already I am working on a wedding with 4 in the waiting folder. I guess this is cause of having 2 weddings a weekend for the last 2 weekends. So that brought those 4 in really quickly. WOW. Anyways, today its pouring rain, and my son @ daycare, and daughter not home, so why am I not editing you wonder? I know, I wonder the same thing. I am just sooooooo blah with sitting at the computer. I want to clean my house. Isn't it horrible that I don't remember the last time I cleaned it. My husband has been doing the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry, EVERYTHING. Ok, on to editing now, and promise myself I will clean the entire house and do laundry on sunday. Right, Well ok, I will try. LOL.
Gotta get ready for tomorrows wedding. LOL....

Oh and hey, don't get me wrong I still love my job.!

Grad 2008

About a year and a half ago my cousin asked me if I would photograph her and some friends on the day of her High School Graduation. I accpeted with honor, as photographing family, is always fun. We started out with shots of her with her parents, and them moved on to her closest friends. It was alot of fun.. Photos around there beautiful pool and then to a nearby park. What a great group of girls to work with. I bet if I would have asked them to climb the trees in there beautiful dresses, THEY WOULD HAVE. Thanks girls for being so great to work with.

Here are some of there photos.

Rain Rain Go Away!

Another Wedding day, with horrible Wet Rain.
I must admit today was the worst amount of rain
I have had to encounter on a wedding day. I was
so dissappointed. The bride and groom had chosen
great locations for photos, and with the large entourage
and the beautiful pink dresses, and flowers, once again done
by MONA LISA FLORISTS, My mind was whirling with
ideas. The rain came out of no where, and when we arrived
at the provencher bridge, it was definately not possible.
We all waited it out in a restaurant across the street, and when
it finally let up, myself, and the bride and groom headed to the bridge.
We managed to get some great shots, and even had a chance to call
the bridal party over to get a few group ones, before once again, the
rain came down. At this point, we gave up, and off to the convention
center we went....... Other than that though, the day was beautiful.
I was amazed by the wonderful set up, the terrific food, and the
wonderful family and friends I had the pleasure of working with today.

Here is a few pics from Mona & Melvin's rainy wedding day.
You will see, the day wasn't a loss!

Adam & Sam

What a beautiful day. Today I had the pleasure of photographing Adam and Sam's Wedding.

This was the first time I was invited to a wedding, as well as doing the photographs. It was quite fun. My husband was even able to attend with me, which honestly made the dinner and reception, alot of fun. Adam and Sam were great to work with, as well as the many family and friends that were present. Such as all my husband's co-workers, since he and Adam work together, at Adam's Dad's Business. GATEWAY KITCHEN AND BATH! Here are a few samples.

Way Busy

Well, the past few weekends as you have all seen, has been very busy. This past weekend, I shot 2 weddings, and have another 2 coming this week. WOW. I am currently working on 4 weddings, and I am trying to get them all out and back to the couples as soon as I possibly can, but I am just feeling soooo overwhelmed. I need a pack of little elves to come over while I sleep and edit like crazy. Not only is this week just swamped for me with portraits and meetings in the studio, which gives me NO EDITING time, the Red River Ex is in town, and the only time we can take the kids is tonight, AGAIN allowing no time for editing, but I think my family is tired of hearing, that we can't do this or that cause mommy has to work. So TONIGHT I am taking a family night, and when I get home from the ex, its EDITING TIME, even if it takes me through the very early hours of the morning.... Can't get behind now or this summer will never again be caught up..... So please, if you are waiting for Photos, they will be to you as soon as I can. NICOLE and MARCEL, I am working on yours now. Annelies and Kristian, you guys are next, then on to Gayle and Garry, then Moji and Darren, and then ofcourse the couples from this weekend Adam and Sam, then Mona & Melvin. SEE WHAT I MEAN. WOW.

But I must say, I STILL LOVE THIS WORK! So stay tuned for some more sample photos... From Adam and Sam and Mona & Melvin's Big day coming soon!

FATHERS DAY SUNDAY

Moji & Darren's wedding was exactly what all little girls dream about. The dress was ever so amazing, the tiara, and jewelry exactly perfect. The flowers were beautifully done, almost hard to believe they were real. They were done by MONA LISA FLORIST on Corydon. Great job guys. The wedding coordinator LIDA RODRIGUES of A DREAM WEDDING & EVENT SPECIALIST did an amazing job as well. The reception venue was the Inn At The Forks and what an amazing set up they had. The tables all perfect with a beautiful flower centerpiece accented by mardi gras beads for the fun kissing game Moji & Darren came up with. It definately wasn't the traditional tinking of the glasses. The guests even made it more interesting by having Moji dip Darren instead of him dipping her while they kissed. A great time was had by all! This Sunday Fathers Day Wedding, was a awesome one. Congrats to you Moji & Darren.

06-14-08

What a funny day! The sun was shinning, then the clouds swept over the city within seconds and a shower hit. But before you know it the sun was back, the rain stopped, and a chance for todays couple to release the doves. As we drove to Kings Park the rain began again, and I was fearful for the couple that we wouldn't be able to do the arranged photos at the park, however as we arrived, the sun came out, and the rain once again went away. During the photo shoot it was weird. At one moment we were hot and sweaty, then as we rounded a corner and the wind picked up and before you know it, we were cold. Funny how winnipeg weather works. Other than the weather, let me say todays wedding was absolutely awesome. The couple and bridal party were all a blast to work with. They didn't question any suggestion I had, and were all willing to have fun. It was awesome. Congrats to you Gayle and Garry, and thanks for letting me be apart of your special day. It was definately one I won't forget....... I hope you enjoy the sneak peak of your photos.
