Melissa & Matt

Finally, a beautiful HOT day with NO RAIN. Funny, how last year, it wasn't till October that I had any rain on any wedding day.
This year I am jumping for joy if it doesn't rain. So today was great. Melissa and Matt were a great couple, and were pretty much willing to try anything, except for getting
to close to the Legislature Fountain. LOL, guess not all brides and grooms wanna get damp or wet on there wedding day. I have yet to find a bride, who wants to shock her wedding guests, by doing a TRASH THE DRESS the day of! Think that will ever happen? LOL. Maybe one day. Cause I know it would be funny as heck. Anyways, here is some samples from Melissa and Matt's beautiful SUNNY HOT Wedding Day.

Rain Again

Ok, so last year was way to easy for me. In the entire wedding season, I had one day of rain.

This year, I can't get away from it. Saturdays wedding started as a beautiful day, and continued that way, until we were in St.Boniface @ the provencher bridge. It was like an instant storm.

The rain fell so hard we could hardly see, as I ran over the bridge to get to my car. Thank goodness for the little souvenier booth at the end of the bridge, she was more than willing to give me a plastic bag to cover my camera, cause the rain was just that hard. I ran to the car, looking in the mirror to see my resemblance to a drop rat. IT was Horrible. The bridal couple decided to take the photo shoot to the hotel, and even though the rain stopped, they were pretty much pictured out. Which I could never understand. LOL. But eveyone knows there limits, and how many they want to take. Some couples, don't want to stop, and when I have taken soooo many, I just don't know what else to do, they still want to go, and some couples when my mind is racing, and I have all these plans, they just want to stop. So either way, at least people tell me, cause I would rather them say enough, or more, and make sure they are getting exactly what they want. Here is a few samples from Tracey and Jason's sunny then rainy wedding day.

Friday Wedding

The day began @ Westminister United Church, for the beautiful ceremony, followed by
family photos on the church staircase, then to the Cathdrale in St.Boniface, and then finally
to the Leo Mol Sculpture garden. I must say this wedding was PLANNED to a T. The bride provided me with an excellent timeline, a list of the family photos, and all the info I could have
needed. It made everything sooooo good. We followed the schedule, actually finishing up sooner than what was listed, giving everyone time to relax for a cold one. Even the family photos flowed so smooth, as I called out the names of each person on the list.. As I would call out one family, I let the next one know to be ready, so it was really making it nice and easy..
A beautiful day for a beautiful wedding.

Portraits for one

What a great day for photos. The temperature was perfect @ 930am, the sun wasn't to crazy, and my subject was ready and willing to do anything I asked of her. Its always fun to photograph a friend. However the beginning of the session is a little rocky cause friends seem to be a little awkward on the other end of my lens when we start, but after a few shots its smooth sailing. Take a look at these samples, and you will see the results were absolutely stunning.
I am so glad I was able to get these shots for a friend.

WHY ANOTHER DAY OF RAIN?

Ok, so seriously. What is going on with the Weather this summer. The last few weekends, the rain has come and ruined so many wonderful photo ops. I have decided. NO MORE RAIN on Saturdays. LOL.. Well at least till November or December!
Today I had photographed the wedding of Steve & Vicki.
Every little detail, was perfectly planned, and oh so beautiful.
The rain ruined our idea of photos @ the provencher bridge, so
we had to improvise till our time slot at the Legislature arrived.
So how more original than to go to the bride and grooms home,
and take photos in there house. The house is absolutely gorgeous.
I even asked the couple if they had an extra room for me. LOL.
So we did what we could in the house, till it was time for the leg,
cause the rain just wouldn't go away. Here are a few samples.

Bonnie & Adam

Monday evening, I had the pleasure of photographing Adam & Bonnie. Bonnie, who is into posing and having her picture taken, and then there is Adam. LOL. He is a little more skeptical of photos, and well.. He is a guy! Alot of them ain't fond of smiling for hours on end. Well they both did great, and I think by the end of the shoot even Adam was having a good time.

When I do a photo shoot, I want everyone to laugh and have fun, so usually I don't stop talking, making stupid jokes, and comments, but whatever works, it gets the shot I am aiming for. Then its all worth it. Well I couldn't help but laugh, when I told Adam we should throw sticks to stop the bikers that were on a path (as seen in the movie Big Daddy with Adam Sandler) That was one shot, that got the most natural laugh a photographer could hope for. Way to go Adam! LOL.

Here are a few samples from there e-photo shoot @ Kings Park & The Legislature building. (oh ya, it was be who suggested another location after King Park) Sorry Adam! And Bonnie "Your Welcome" LOL

NO RAIN TODAY

What a gorgeous day. The bride and groom hoped for NO rain yesterday, to ruin there outdoor wedding. And guess what, there prayers were answered. The sun was shinning, the wind blew, and the ceremony was beautiful. Even Tucker the shitzu ringbearer looked his best, in his tux and matching bridal leash. After the ceremony we headed to beautiful Lower Fort Garry for pictures. Family photos, bridal party photos, and of course the bride and groom. We all had a blast, and the photo shoot was filled with laughter, and awesome ideas from each of the bridal party. I love when people throw ideas at me, as sometimes it gets my mind working to change things up a bit from what they were thinking, to make it something my own........ Anyways, here is a few pics from this beautiful RAIN FREE perfect wedding.
