Long day

Today my day started off at 6am. Yes I said that right 6am my alarm clock sounded, and I tell ya, I wasn't happy about it. I rolled over and hoped that the time would just rewind a few hours, but it didn't.... I went to work (my other job, Homecare) for 8:00am. After dropping the boy off at daycare, and making sure the girl was ready for school... A full day of homecare with let me say NO BREAK ended at 430pm, when I then raced to the forks to meet up with Kevin & Tannis for there engagement session... We had a great time at the forks, followed by the cathedrale.

I can't wait for there wedding at the hitch n post in 2 weeks... See ya then guys. Here is some samples from tonight.......

The Women's Business Expo/ Ultimate Women's Show

Well the show has come and gone. This weekend was this fabulous womens expo @ the assiniboia downs. I was contacted a few weeks ago and asked if I could do the show. I partnered up with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and offered head shots of the business gals, after a Mini Make Over by Mary Kay. IT was a great time. I was unable to attend the show on Saturday, as I was shooting a wedding, but I would like to Thank My husband Scott for spending part of the day setting up the show, and thank you to my friend Colleen for spending all of Saturday at the show, passing out cards, talking with people and as she stated, praising me. LOL. Great work guys, and a special thanks to all who came out.. :)

Another 2 weddings

Wow, what a weekend again.

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Kevin and Corren. A beautiful wedding held @ pine ridge hollow. It was a breezy cold day, but we all made it through the outdoor ceremony, and I am sure the family and friends were very appreciative of the heaters in the pine ridge hollow tent.

Followed by Corren & Kevin, Saturday brough Mike and Chantal. Again another beautiful wedding. The couple sparkled today with joy and happiness, and I couldn't have been happier for them......

Here is some samples.

2 Wedding Weekend!

Jordin & Matthew

Bonnie & Adam

Friday was a beautiful warm sunny day, so what a great day for a fall wedding. This day I had the opportunity to photography Matthew & Jordin's Wedding. Not only was I the photographer, but my husband and I were invited to this wedding, as my hubby works with the groom. Matthew & Jordin make a lovely pair. Both outgoing, and alot of fun. We couldn't have asked for a better photo spot, than the parents of the groom. The cowboy hat look, went beautifully with the decked out barn beside the home... Have a look of some of these fun beautiful out of the city
photos.......

Now saturday. Today I had the opportunity to photograph Bonnie & Adams Wedding This wedding was located @ the Hitch n Post just outside the city in Grosse Isle. However, things were done alittle differently. THe photos took place before the 4 oclock ceremony. We started @ the train museum in downtown winnipeg, then on to the fabulous exchange district. I must admit all the construction in the area had me a little dissapointed for a few spot, but I may say all in all, we got some great stuff. Then we headed to the location of the ceremony & reception, and I honestly can say, when I arrive out at the hitch n post, (as this was my first time there) I was a little upset we hadn't headed there sooner. That place is amazing for pics. Anyways, have a look.

Now on to Modelling Photography

After Beth's Tuesday evening shoot, Wednesday led to a modelling session with a very nice young lady. We started the shoot, in the later evening, and decided to carry on the next day in the afternoon, when we had some daylight. So here is a few shots from her Shoot. I must say, it was my first time with modelling in my mind, and posing her to make something that would work for her portfolio, and you know, she was very happy with the results. So, I must say this is something I would love to do again.

I AM NOT PHOTOGENIC

SO tonight I had the pleasure of photographing a good friend of mine. Who has time and time again been telling me she hates photos, doesn't want me to take ANY pics of her, blah blah blah.

Today she changed her mind. She was over for a visit, just chillin out and have a coffee/pepsi, and decided forget it, lets take 1 pic for facebook. Even my husband told her as we went down to the studio, GOOD LUCK WITH ONLY TAKING ONE. Well lets say, when we came upstaires loaded the photos onto the computer and began editing, we had taken 78 pics, and had narrowed the faves down to 57..... LMAO. I ain't photogenic. Oh brother! Anyways, I am happy to say I have now turned her on that line, and we are soon doing TRASH THE DRESS...... HAHAHAHA.

I am awesome!!!!! LMAO....

Here are a few samples.

Had some sleep

Well ok, more awake today to type. LOL.
Thought I would post again about where I am at in the editing line up.
I am very happy to say I am running right on schedule.

Erin and Rob's wedding is complete, except for a slideshow that is causing tehnical difficulties.
I will now be starting with Brent & Sam's Wedding, Then Bahiyyh & Justin, Tara & Mike,
and then Kara & Rj. Family & Engagement sessions are all complete.... So on to the wedding editing craze for the week... Hoping to complete Brent & Sam's this week!

Today was supposed to be a portrait session for 1 year old Brooklyn, however I think
messaging didn't cross right, as the parents and I never chose a location, or decided on
a definate time. So I guess that won't be today.. IF it ends up today, I will post some pics
later.

Off to make breakfast for the family!

One more weekend off.

Another 2 days off...... Before the September craze hits.
However I must say last weekend worked out real well for me.
I spent all day saturday editing from 11am till 3am. I finished
a complete wedding from start to finish, edited 3/4 of another
wedding, got thank you cards designed, put prints into an album,
burned disks, made covers, finished a family session, and then I
even took a few hours on Sunday to watch a movie with my husband.
Monday I spent the day in Ile Des Chenes at my grandmothers house,
where I wouldn't have the kids yelling and taking my attention away
from the slideshow I was designing for Vladanka & Steve. It all worked
out well. I am now going to finish up Melissa and Matt's slideshow,
finish Tracey and Jason's Wedding, and then this weekend its Rob and
Erin. Then I am hoping to get Misty and Family, as well as Alicia and Brian's
Engagement session edited, before moving on to Brent & Sam's Wedding.
However I must say I am catching up. After Brent & Sam its Bahiiyh & Justin,
whose I must admit is almost done. I had this wedding on my other computer
and have kinda worked on it here and there, to take a break from the laptop.
Then Tara & Mike, and I am all caught up and ready to shoot Tj & Kara's Wedding
next Saturday.
The weather is cooling off now, and you know I am honestly quite sad. As much
as this season is crazy busy and sometimes my head is spinning. I am going
to miss it so much. September leaves me quite busy with 5 weddings in 3 weeks.
October is 2 and November is 1. I think I will be quite bored by December.
Thank goodness for my February couple. I will have some editing to do for a bit
of February at least. LOL. My life has adjusted so much to editing, that I don't
enjoy doing nothing anymore. I WANT TO BE BUSY. LOL. Hoping to make this
winter a busy one of Team Photos, and Studio work.....
Well stay tuned for the final words of I AM CAUGHT UP.
