All caught up

Wow, what a great feeling it is to look in my EDIT folder and see NOTHING. I have just completed the design on Matt & Melissa's Coffee table book, and Vicki & Steve is just sitting waiting for 1 more album to be completed, till all 3 books are being sent in to order! Even todays photo shoot is edited, and ready for pick up. I love being on holidays from my day job, gives me a ton of time to catch up on the small stuff, and gives me time to be a mom, wife, and regular person. But to be honest, when I wasn't editing this week, and I took time to just relax, watch movies, and do pretty much nothing. I missed the editing, having my laptop close by while I enjoyed a movie with my family. I kinda felt like something was missing, different, and not right.

But I did discover it was just me, and my need for photography work............ But now, with everything caught up, I can enjoy the busy few days that are coming with the holidays, and not have to feel guilty. Honestly I don't think I will have a chance to be bored, or miss the editing, over the next few days. Next Sundays wedding will give me something to do, and then the 2 in February will keep me quite busy till its time for the hectic season to begin again. Yaaaa, not to much down time.

I hope everyone has a terrific Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa & all the festive traditions that happen this time of year.

E-Photos

Todays weather was a little on the tricky side. When I loaded up the car to head to todays e-photo session, I thought WOW, we got great temperatures, and a fabulous overcast. Well let me tell you, once the shoot began the cold got the best of us. We were able to hack the cold for about a half hour. But still with the cold against us, and the time cut short, we got some great images of this fabulous soon to be wed couple. Can't wait to shoot there wedding on Valentines Day 09.. Here are some samples.

Family

Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph a family I have known since WOW, grade 2 I believe.... I went to elementary, and high school with the oldest son, later becoming friends with the middle daughter, and years later meeting up with the youngest in my daughters daycare at the time. Then off and on over the last few years. So I must say seeing them all was nice, seeing there spouses, children, and parents together as a family, being able to photograph them and help capture memories in a photograph that were long over due to be captured. Here is some samples.

Finally, photos of my son

Amazing isn't it, a photographer has no photos of her own children..... Our daughter is 10 and she loves the camera, so photos of her have been recently done. However, our soon to be 3 year old son, well that is another story... He hates going into the studio to do anything, so today I thought I would take my time, and work on getting something of him. He is most comfortable in just his diaper, so I thought, let it be...... And we got some cute shots, so I couldn't be happier. Have a look.

Bathing Suits and Snow Banks

Yes you read right. Today I photographed our friends/neighbors wearing there bathing suits, standing outside in minus temperatures.. Windchill factor today was @ least -30. Lets just say we didn't last out there very long, but we did get a few very unique images, and that is what we were after. So job done! Have a look! Some people really value unique and different ideas, and this family was definately beyond GREAT SPORTS. Wow.. I however can't take the credit for this idea.... That came from the MOM... LOL..... Kids didn't appreciate it very much, but they
all did it.. Great job girls.

Girls Girls Girls

Tonight I had the pleasure of photographing a group of a friends friends......
Lets just say this group of 4 made photographing 4 2 year olds a heck of
a lot easier. LMAO.. Just kidding.. That was just our joke of the evening.
Here are some of their shots.

Snowy Winterpeg!

Today I shot some pics in the middle of snow fall.... Here is a few I thought were cute! Snow to me can either be in the way, or can add something special and unique to the photos, and in this case I think it just made the day memorable, and captured perfectly... What else can we say about Winterpeg, but SNOW!
