Amie & Josh

After more than a year of first meeting Amie, the wedding came and myself and my assistant Kim had a the opportunity to capture there special day.   What a great wedding.  The bride and groom were laid back, and just enjoyed the day.  It was beautiful to see a couple so truly happy.

Congrats to you both.  Kim and I had a great time.

My Family

Well a few months ago I sat and visited with my grandma, and as we chatted I noticed her walls were covered with photos of all of her kids and grandkids, however they were all so out of date, that I decided to bring out my backdrops and lighting on Easter Sunday and get some updates for her.  So here is a few from the day. This post is a little behind as it was from Easter Sunday 2009.

50 years of Marriage

Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph a 50th wedding anniversary.  What a great party it was.   A fabulous couple, whose laughter and love made it feel like I have known, and seen there happiness together all my life.   Many friends and family gathered to celebrate this great occasion with them.  Here is a few shots from the day.

The Beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park

Well I decided to take a break from shooting fruit falling into water, until I have the more reliable sized glass aquarium. So today, my family and I headed out to visit my husbands Grandma in the Pinawa Hospital.  We decided since we were out in the area, we may as well detour and take a drive through the park.  I kinda had a feeling we would venture this way, so ofcourse cameras were loaded up and ready to go. The 45 min - 1 hour drive through the park, ended up taking us 2 1/2 hours, as we stopped here and there, and here and there.  But totally worth all effort, and all the time in the car.  The kids had a great time singing along to many ipod favorites, reading books, and talking our ears off. LOL.  We had some great laughs too! Our 3 year old son came up with a few things that couldn't control the laughter, to burst out to tears. Its was a family day that was well needed and enjoyed.  Here are some photos of the day!  Can't wait to take the kids out and get some shots of them.  Today, due to the ice, water, and being so close to the highway for most shots, they supervised from the car!  They were great!

Fun with Photography

Today I decided to play around with water, fruit, a huge vase and my camera.  We have recently moved some cabinets around in our house, giving us a new wall to accent with beautiful portraits, so I decided since the wall is in the kitchen I would play around and find something fun and funky.  I have a few ideas for different things that I want to try, so this week is my playing with still photography, water photography and maybe anything I seem to think of.  I just hope deciding on which images to show, won't be as hard as planning them.   Tonight, I didn't have the use of my big studio lighting, so I just went with it, in the kitchen on a chair, and bad lighting, here is an example of what I got... Tomorrow I will give it another shot with better lighting and a bigger water source.   But here is attempt number 1.
