STUDIO STUDIO STUDIO

Well, I have made a huge leap into my love of photography.
I have decided to rent a location and open my very own studio.
OH MY, did I say that, me! The girl who is affraid to take risks,
has completely taken a life changing risk.. Yes I did.
My new location is 1599 St.Mary's Road, I have rented the lower level
of this building, one block south of St.Vital Center and I am soon hoping
to have it up and running. This weekend, we sure did alot of work. We moved
things that I felt I didn't need, we painted, painted, and painted, as well as filled
nail holes, put up a new wall, and basically gave the entire place a facelift.
However, it will all come together.

I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to
the many friends who came to help, and couldn't move for 2 days, as there bones
and muscles all hurt. THANK YOU to ANDREA and CHRIS, for all your help in the studio
as well as for babysitting the kids ALL DAY, so we could get the painting done. THANK YOU
to BETH AND RON for the puttying work, and ofcourse all the sanding. LOL. THANKS TO
my UNCLE STAN for all the painting, and to SYLVIE for the puttying, moving, painting and everything else. ALSO, THANK YOU TO COLLEEN FOR THE WONDERFUL DESIGN PLAN
THAT YOU CAME UP WITH, and for coming to help with the paint..... YOU ARE ALL AWESOME. And last but not least..... THANKS SCOTT! If it wasn't for you this wouldn't be happening... LOVE YOU! Here are a few shots that were taken with my daughters little point and shoot camera (definately not my SLR, but whatcha gonna do).

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL IN THE STUDIO......

Engagement Photos

Today was a beautiful day, and couldn't ask for a better to couple to work with.
We had so much fun in the cold white snow in Birds Hill Park. We stopped at 3 different
areas in the park, and got some great shots. Neil was even able to get his snowmobile into
quite a few shots. Those to come soon.

10 months old and oh so cute

Today I did a studio session with sweet little Mya. I began photographing this little one right from the womb. Maternity session with her was fun, her infant photos, and now her 10 months. Its amazing to see another little one grow up. She is definately a little model. Taking photos of her were oh sooooo amazing. She loves the camera and that is a huge help. Check out some of todays shots. We got 12 different poses in 30 minutes, and then the little one was done! She needed a snack and playtime with my little guy Cohen. LOL.

A Self Portrait Task

December 2003

Well... Another weekend has passed and my plan of doing a studio family portrait of our family, back fired. Of course it ended up being to busy and no time. Friday started off being the day to get things done. The dog had a hair cut, I went and did the same and even had some blonde highlights put in, by the fabulous Zoffia at St.Vital Unisex. So things were well on the way to our family photo shoot. (that god for remotes and timmers) Well, did I mention I only left for about 2 hours. I got home to find my husband curled up behind our plasma TV with a gigantic hole in our wall. You see, if you don't know my husband, you must know, he has an obsession with electronics, and in wall wiring. He decided to move the wires over to a different location and in order to do so, he well ummmm, had to remove part of the wall. Thank goodness he is a handy man, and was able to re-drywall it and fix it up. But when I walked in the door, that isn't what I was thinking. Again, drywall particles all over my floor, putty knives and containers on my counters, my goodness. I knew right there, that my drywall powder faced husband wouldn't be up to a family photo shoot! Our friday evening ended up being curled up on the couch watching movies after my late night visit to the Regent Walmart. So next weekend it is........ I hope.
