Ken & Jeanette

After meeting with this couple, I knew I was gonna have a great time. Last year we got together and did some awesome engagement photos. Yesterday, was the big day. Ken & Jeanette tied the knot! I have to admit the day sure didn't start off as planned. I was leaving for the wedding, and surprise, my keys were locked inside my car, thank god for road side assistance and my eagerness to NEVER be late, I called a tow truck, and was back in business. Arriving @ the church 25 minutes prior to the scheduled time I thought WOOHOO, I have 50 minutes to set up, test lighting and capture the guests arriving. I entered the church and thought to myself, there seems to be something going on inside the doors. I opened up the church door and low and behold, there was Ken & Jeanette, GETTING MARRIED! I thought to myself long and hard, and went over the last email I received from the couple. Arrive @ 1130am, Ceremony @ 12pm. Hmmm, So I dropped by bag, pulled out my flash and starting shooting. Before I knew it the ceremony was over, and it wasn't a rehearsal. LOL. Thank god, I have issues with being late! If I would have arrived @ the scheduled time, I would have been lucky to catch the kiss!

After the ceremony, both the bride and groom, laughed @ the typo in the last email, and said NO WORRIES... I felt horrible, and I am sure the entire church heard my heart pounding the entire ceremony. However I have to say, THANK GOODNESS I have to be early all the time!
The rest of the day went great. We got some great shots of the couple, and due to sore feet and uncomfortable shoes, we called the formals short, took a 2 hour break and then headed to Kum Koon Gardens on King Street, where the reception was held. It was beautifully set up, the bride, groom and entire entourage completed the center piece set up, and made the final touches! I even had the chance to see one of my photos, turned into a painting, and then if that wasn't cool enough, chocolate bar wrapped with the engagement photos on them! SO AWESOME! Thanks guys for a great day, and glad your day wasn't ruined due to the slight TYPO... I wish you both a world of happiness, and hope to work with you guys again! CONGRATS!
