Lac Du Bonnet Manitoba

Yesterday I started my day out with John, and his groomsmen @ the Canad Inns Windsor park, where the guys got ready, and John got him many fabulous surprises from his bride to be! 1 being a gorgeous Limo that he had no idea about, that would be taking him and his groomsmen all the way out to Lac Du Bonnet! For the first time in my wedding career I spent 3 hours with the boys! Getting ready, then we hit the forks for some formal guy pics. My fabulous assistant Kim met up with the ladies bright and early at the salon! By lunch time we were all headed out for lake country! With the weather not knowing what it wanted to do, we were not sure how the pics would go! But you know what, Joelle and John defiantly had mother nature on their side! The ceremony was outside @ the brides parents home and was set up beautifully! The groomsmen, arrived by boat from across the lake where they hid out till it was time for everything to begin! Then we headed to the Pinawa Dam for pictures! I had never had the pleasure of shooting @ this location before, and OMG. This is definately somewhere I HAVE TO shoot again! With time running out, we only had about 40 minutes, so we shot as quickly as we could, but definately could have done ALOT more! The reception was beautifully decorated and dinner was amazing! Thanks John and Joelle for having me capture this special day for you! And thanks Kim for spending the evening at the reception, after I headed home! (My 2nd photographer is married to the brides cousin) I do have to say, I took a wrong turn coming back to winnipeg. I zigged when I should have zagged, and spent an extra 30 minutes in the car! LIBAU, where is that anyway! LOL. However it was a learning experience. I learned don't turn right from Lac Du Bonnet to Libau, keep going a little further!
